Volunteers re-engineer oncology treatment software to address coronavirus pandemic
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 24, 2020
Denver, CO: Mobile Angel announced today the release of the Mobile Angel mobile application. Mobile Angel can manage potential COVID-19 patients from clinics across the country in real-time. The free application monitors patients with possible infections through self-reported symptoms and then intelligently sorts and prioritizes them based on temperature and symptoms. With built-in telemedicine features, clinic staff can directly monitor patients while reducing in-person visits and potential exposure.
" “We, as a team, need to put everything else on hold until we get this out,” said Jim Behrens, Founder at Mobile Angel. “This can save many, many, lives”.
As volunteers, the Mobile Angel team has quickly re-engineered the mobile application to address the COVID-19 crisis through real-time, self-reported, and actionable data at the clinic level while adding value to patient care–but most importantly, from a distance!
Features and benefits of Mobile Angel include:
Real-time continuous symptom reporting and tracking linked directly to your clinic and staff
Telemedicine features that allow care, when not critical, to happen remotely
Intelligent sorting of patients remotely based on the seriousness of the condition
A nationwide mapping tool to show the real-time detailed status of all symptomatic patients
The application also aggregates all the reports across the US to allow the clinic and public health professionals to see local and broad trends in near real-time. View the Interactive Map here.
The Mobile Angel app is available in the Apple iOS App Store under “Mobile Angel” and is FREE to everyone.
About Mobile Angel
Mobile Angel is an intelligent early warning triage system for cancer care. It connects the care team and patients to provide proactive care between clinic visits and minimize delays in helping distressed patients. The free mobile app allows clinics to monitor symptoms and medications in real time and quickly communicate with patients in a virtual care environment. The app prompts patients to self-report symptoms and sends notifications for medication reminders. This allows clinics to adjust priorities based on each patient’s specific needs. The clinical staff can instantly see an intelligently prioritized patient list on their mobile devices to determine which patients need attention and why. Mobile Angel is based in Denver, CO.
